Every year at Easter the Church receives candidates (catechmens) as members of the Body of Christ. The catechumens reveive the three Sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. After completing a period of instruction (1 year) the catechumens are allowed to receive the Sacraments typically beginning at the Easter celebration. This process is called the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (O.C.I.A.).
Groups meet separately in Spanish or English.
If you are interested in becoming Catholic and want to learn more about OCIA or the process of joining the Church call one of the parish offices 712-551-1501 or 712-476-2060. OCIA classes typically meet once a week from April thru April.
